Daily post and link limits, Premium length limits, account restrictions and errors. PostOnce can copy your X posts to other platforms and publish to X. ## Connect X The X row on the Accounts page with the Connect X (Twitter) button On [Accounts](https://postonce.to/dashboard/accounts), click **Connect X (Twitter)**, sign in and approve access. PostOnce reads whether the account has X Premium when you connect. If you subscribe to Premium later, [connect X again](/help/reconnect-an-account) so PostOnce allows longer posts and videos. ## X as a source Content to include for an X source: Images, Videos, Text and Quote posts * Replies aren't copied. Untick **Quote posts** to skip quotes and reposts. * PostOnce checks X for new posts every 25 minutes. * Short links are expanded to the original link. ## Publishing to X | | Limit | | - | - | | Text | 280 characters, or 4,000 with X Premium. Emoji count as 2. | | Images | Up to 4, 5 MB each | | Video | 1 video, up to 512 MB. Up to 2 minutes without X Premium. | | GIF | 1 GIF up to 15 MB, on its own | | Aspect ratio | 1:3 to 3:1 | Images and video can't be mixed. Longer text is cut at the limit. ### Daily limits that protect your account New X accounts that post a lot through apps often get restricted by X. To prevent this, PostOnce applies two limits across all the X accounts in your PostOnce account: * **12 posts in any 24 hours.** Further posts fail with "twitter publishing limit reached" and can be retried once the window allows. * **One clickable link in any 24 hours.** Later posts still publish, but their links are written with a lookalike dot so they aren't clickable. If your account needs higher limits, [contact support](mailto:support@postonce.to). ## If X restricts your account When X restricts an account, posts fail with "Your account is not permitted to access this feature. (Forbidden)". This comes from X, not PostOnce. It usually happens after a new account publishes many posts in a short time. 1. Open x.com on the account and clear any notice or verification X shows. 2. Wait 24 hours before posting again. 3. Post less often, or turn on **Set time between posts** for X in the workflow's [Destinations settings](/help/publishing-timing#time-between-posts). ## X errors | Error message | What to do | | - | - | | "Invalid X token, please reconnect your account" | [Reconnect](/help/reconnect-an-account) X. | | "Your account is not permitted to access this feature. (Forbidden)" | See [If X restricts your account](#if-x-restricts-your-account). | | "You are not allowed to create a Tweet with duplicate content." | X rejects a post identical to one already on the account. Change the text before retrying. | | "Video duration ({N}s) exceeds the 2-minute limit for non-Twitter Blue accounts. Please upgrade to Twitter Blue or use a shorter video." / "This user is not allowed to post a video longer than 2 minutes." | Use a video under 2 minutes, or subscribe to X Premium and reconnect X. | | "twitter publishing limit reached: 12 posts per rolling 24 hours." | Wait for the 24-hour window, then retry. | | "This X video isn't available to download (its owner restricted it by region)." | Upload the file with Create Post instead. | | "Text was truncated from {N} to {M} characters" | A warning: the post was published, shortened to fit X. | ## Still stuck?
