A workflow missed a new post
Check these in order:
- It hasn’t been checked yet. PostOnce checks sources every 5 to 25 minutes depending on the platform (see How fast posts publish). Open the workflow and click Check now.
- The workflow is off. In Workflows, make sure the switch is on and Publish automatically is on inside the workflow.
- A filter excluded it. Check the keyword filters and content types under Settings › Source. Instagram Stories and Trial Reels, Facebook Stories and regular YouTube videos are off unless you turn them on. A Trial Reel you later share to your feed is still a Trial Reel to PostOnce.
- The post was skipped. Open the workflow and filter by Skipped. The reason is shown on the post. See Filters and duplicates.
- The source account needs reconnecting, or the post or account is private. Reconnect, or make the post public.
- The post is older than the workflow. New-post copying starts when the workflow is created. To copy older posts, use Repost existing posts or Run full sync.
- Publishing is paused because the trial ended or a payment failed. See Publishing is paused.
A post is late
- The destination reached a daily limit (Instagram 50, TikTok 14, X 12 in any 24 hours), so the post is waiting for a free slot.
- Set time between posts is spreading posts out.
- The workflow publishes new posts On the schedule instead of Immediately.
- The video is long and still processing, or the source platform hasn’t finished processing it.
- The first attempt failed and PostOnce is retrying 15 minutes later.
Open Posts › Scheduled to see when queued posts will go out.
A post appeared twice
- Another tool is still posting. If you used another cross-posting tool before, turn off its automation for the accounts PostOnce handles.
- Two workflows post to the same account. Delete one, or remove the shared destination from one of them.
- The same video was posted twice on the source. Turn on Skip duplicate videos under Settings › Source.
- You clicked Retry on a post that had actually published. PostOnce doesn’t retry by itself when it can’t tell whether a post went out, but a manual retry posts again. Check the platform before clicking Retry when the message says the status was unknown.
You’re not told when posts fail
Turn on Failed posts under Settings › Email notifications to get an email whenever a platform rejects a post. PostOnce always emails you when an account needs reconnecting.
